Whitby Harbour West Lighthouse stands at the end of the west pier, overlooking the entrance to Whitby Harbour.

This sunrise view captures the lighthouse in the first light of day as the North Sea stretches beyond the harbour walls. Together with its counterpart on the eastern pier, it has guided vessels into the harbour for generations.
