Northumberland

Northumberland is a landscape of open horizons, where coastline, countryside, and historic sites come together in a quiet and atmospheric environment. Its coastline is defined by wide beaches, tidal waters, and prominent landmarks, while inland areas are shaped by rolling rural terrain and a strong sense of space.

My photography in Northumberland has focused on its coastline, including stretches around Bamburgh and the surrounding coastal landscapes. The area is characterised by changing light, expansive views, and a calm, understated sense of drama that makes it particularly rewarding to photograph.
