The New Flamborough Lighthouse, built in 1806, serves as a crucial waypoint for sea vessels and marks the edge of Flamborough Headland, Yorkshire.
I spent some time photographing this striking lighthouse, using the sea and rugged coastline as dramatic foreground elements. However, my favourite shot of the day ended up being one that didn’t feature the sea at all. It’s a reminder that sometimes the most unexpected perspectives can capture the essence of a place in a way you might not have planned.
