The Trevi Fountain is one of Rome’s most celebrated landmarks, where sculptures of Oceanus and Tritons dominate the Baroque façade of the Palazzo Poli.
Completed in 1762 to a design by Nicola Salvi, the fountain marks the terminus of the Aqua Virgo aqueduct, which has supplied water to the city since Roman times. Today it remains one of Rome’s most visited public spaces.
