Photographing Llŷn Peninsula

The Llŷn Peninsula extends into the Irish Sea from north-west Wales, forming a landscape of sandy beaches, rocky headlands, coastal paths and small seaside settlements. Surrounded by water on three sides and overlooked by the mountains of Eryri to the east, it combines a wide range of coastal and rural environments within a relatively compact area.

The coastline is shaped by tides, changing sea conditions and expansive views across Cardigan Bay and the Irish Sea. Beaches, cliffs, farmland and sheltered coves create a varied landscape with a strong connection to both the sea and the surrounding mountains.
