The Icefields Parkway is full of moments like this. Rivers wind through valleys, and mountains rise in the distance. I don’t remember exactly where I took this shot, only that it was somewhere along that remarkable road between Jasper and Lake Louise. Stripped of colour, the black-and-white image draws attention to the shapes and textures of the landscape, and the feeling of being somewhere quietly extraordinary.
