Alberta

Alberta contains some of Canada’s most varied landscapes, from the glaciated peaks and valleys of the Canadian Rockies to expansive prairie grasslands and dense northern forests. In the south-east, the badlands introduce a contrasting landscape of eroded rock formations, steep coulees and exposed strata.

The province is characterised by dramatic changes in scale, weather and elevation. Mountain environments, open skies and strong seasonal variation create a wide range of photographic conditions across both natural and cultural landscapes.
