Moraine Lake sits beneath the Valley of the Ten Peaks in Banff National Park. Its striking turquoise colour comes from fine glacial sediment, known as rock flour, suspended in the meltwater that feeds the lake.
Framed by rugged mountain peaks and dense evergreen forest, it has become one of the most iconic and frequently photographed landscapes in the Canadian Rockies.
